William Roache joins the campaign to save Fox's in Uttoxeter
The fight to keep Fox’s biscuits in Uttoxeter had a major boost with star backing from a member of the cast of Coronation Street. William Roache, universally known as Ken Barlow gave his backing to the campaign after being approached by Conservative Prospective MP Andrew Griffiths
William said,
“When Andrew approached me, and explained the campaign, and the implications for employment in Uttoxeter, I was delighted to add my support. I have long been a lover of Fox’s biscuits; I really enjoy them. It would be a terrible shame for a factory with such a long tradition in the town to close.”
